Reuters: The far-right favourites to win Austria's next election have forged an alliance with Hungarian leader Viktor Orban that could deepen defiance of Brussels and threaten already fragile consensus over the Ukraine war if they take power.

LRT: Moscow’s mouthpieces continue to spread propaganda and lies in the Baltic states, but a leaked hatch of reports suggests that their results have been very limited. TikTok and Telegram are their channels of choice after most of their websites have been banned.

ISW: Russian milbloggers responded to the arrival of F-16s by trying to downplay their potential battlefield effects—directly undermining Russian information operations intended to frame the delivery of F-16s and other Western weapons systems as an uncrossable "red line."

Reuters: Ukrainian pilots have started flying F-16s for operations within the nation, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Sunday, confirming the long-awaited arrival of the U.S.-made fighter jets more than 29 months after Russia's invasion.

Euromaidan Press: The Russians attacked the Sumy Oblast using the KAB glide bombs, mortars, artillery, and FPV drones. The Oblast administration recorded at least 126 explosions in the region. In total 12 municipalities came under fire.

Reuters: Ukraine's Yaroslava Mahuchikh completed her trophy cabinet with the women's Olympic high jump gold medal on Sunday, clearing 2.00 metres in front of an adoring crowd at the Stade de France.

RBC-Ukraine: The occupiers have moved additional Russian Guard forces to the temporarily occupied eastern Ukraine. They will be searching for deserters, according to the Telegram channel Resistance.

AFP: Ukraine on Sunday announced the mandatory evacuation of children and their guardians from areas in the Donetsk region, where Russia has been claiming advances. Just hours earlier, Russia said its forces had seized a nearby village, after claiming a string of villages in recent weeks -- many just consisting of a few streets.

Reuters: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will visit three African countries this week in an effort to drum up support for Kyiv's position in its war with Russia, his ministry said on Sunday.

The Kyiv Independent: Russia has been deploying foreign volunteers, namely residents of Egypt, to fight in its war against Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine’s Operational Tactical Group "Kharkiv" reported on Aug. 4.

RTE: The head of An Garda Síochána's Security and Intelligence Bureau has said Russia is one of a small number of countries spying in Ireland.

ISW: Putin's willingness to consider supporting the Houthis as they attack Israel and international shipping is part of deepening Russian-Iranian military cooperation and Russia's increasing reliance on Iran for high-precision weapons and components.

Reuters: Ukraine's military said on Saturday it had sunk a submarine in Russian-controlled Sevastopol, attacked a southern Russian airfield and hit oil depots and fuel and lubricant storage facilities in Belgorod, Kursk and Rostov regions.

The Kyiv Independent: The German and Swedish air forces scrambled NATO jets on Aug. 3 after two Russian jets were detected heading toward Latvian airspace over the Baltic Sea.

AP News: Ukraine has won its first gold medal of the Paris Olympics by defeating South Korea in the final of the women’s team saber fencing on Saturday.

The Kyiv Independent: Ukrainian special services have offered information and training to Tuareg rebels in Mali, particularly in drone operation, the French outlet Le Monde reported.

ISW: Brigadier General Andriy Hnatov stressed that Russia is pursuing an effort to force Ukraine to commit its available manpower to ongoing defensive operations in order to prevent the accumulation of Ukrainian resources for future counteroffensive operations.
