Reuters: U.S.-funded research has identified more than 210 sites where Ukrainian children have been taken for military training, drone manufacturing and other forced re-education by Russia, as part of a large-scale deportation programme.

FT: The Polish government is increasing its cyber security budget to a record €1bn this year, after Russian sabotage attempts targeted hospitals and urban water supplies. Dariusz Standerski, deputy minister for digital affairs, told the Financial Times that Poland was facing between 20 and 50 attempts to damage critical infrastructure every day, most of which are thwarted (archive).

Sky News: Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for a "clear position" from Trump on a sanctions package for Russia and security guarantees for Ukraine to stop Putin and end the war.

Reuters: Japan's Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato said on Tuesday the government will carefully consider what measures would be most effective in pressuring Russia, while noting challenges in imposing higher tariffs on countries buying Russian oil.

The Kyiv Independent: Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Zaporizhzhia late on Sept. 15, killing one person and injuring thirteen others, including a 4-year-old girl, officials reported. Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov said the city sustained at least 10 strikes amid the attack which targeted both homes and "non-residential buildings."

Reuters: U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Monday the Trump administration would not impose additional tariffs on Chinese goods to halt China's purchases of Russian oil unless European countries hit China and India with steep duties of their own.

Reuters: Poland's State Protection Service has neutralized a drone operating over sensitive government locations, including Parkowa Street and the Belweder Palace, said PM Tusk, amid heightened regional tensions following recent airspace violations. The drones are built to withstand Russian electronic warfare systems and will soon be tested in combat.

Euronews: A Kremlin-aligned disinformation operation is falsely accusing Ukraine's allies of plotting to divide the war-torn country's territory between them in the event of a peace deal with Russia.
